Hotel description: The Hilton Prague Old Town opened its doors under the Hilton banner on November 1, 2007, becoming Hilton’s second hotel to open in Prague. Formerly the Renaissance Prague Hotel, the 303-room property has undergone an exciting renovation utilising some of Europe’s most recognised talent to create a truly authentic and yet modern Prague experience. Celebrated interior designer Alexandra Champalimaud oversaw the renovation of the Hilton Prague Old Town and David Collins, well known for his innovative and visionary work restored the hotel’s public spaces and restaurant. The modern design of the hotel also reflects the architecture of Prague, finding inspiration from the city’s landmarks as well as Czech Modernism and Cubism. The hotel is located in the heart of the city amidst many of its key attractions Its proximity to the oldest parts of the city offers guests the option to fully explore the surrounding area including Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square and Charles Bridge. Shopping, museums and theatres are easily within walking distance and the country’s largest shopping mall is located five-minute’s walk from the hotel. Situated just 20 metres from Namesti Republiky metro station, one km from the main railway station and 18 km (30 minutes) to Ruzyne international airport the hotel also offers guests the use of a private garage for those arriving by car. The hotel has seen the complete renovation of the ground floor area, including a revitalised reception and lobby area, an expanded ballroom. The project also included a complete refit of all guest rooms, including the addition of 15 new suites and a luxurious Penthouse Suite, all fitted with state-of-the-art facilities and comfortable furnishings. Prague's stylish dining spot, Zinc restaurant, has seating in its spacious dining room for up to 110 guests and a bar that seats over 70 people. Zinc offers a personal interpretation of modern and innovative European cuisine. Traditional methods of cooking, based on fresh and seasonal quality ingredients are blended with the exotic tastes, colours and texture of Asian spices. The menu has been created with the greatest care and attention to detail by the hotel Executive Chef Ari Munandar. The Zinc creative concept allows each guest to undergo an unforgettable dining experience. Signature dishes including Crispy Calamari with Spiced Salt and Chilli, Roasted Cashew Nuts and Green Mango Salad or Corn Fed Spring Chicken with Balinese Spices; are suitably complemented by the vast selection of local and international wines. Part of the dishes are prepared to order on an Asian grill including such condiments as spicy chilli sambal, wasabi butter, coriander Bernaise or sweet soy and tomato relish. Zinc lounge & bar serves lighter dishes, tempting selection of cocktails and coffees. The new Prague meetings & events facilities form a great location for a successful business or leisure event in Prague. The hotel is well equipped for guests’ meetings, events and conference needs, with 1 000 m² of dedicated meeting space and the flexibility to accommodate groups ranging from 10 to 800 people. Facilities include twelve meeting rooms as well as the Dvorak Ballroom, which can host up to 340 people. All meeting and conference rooms feature state-of-the art interiors, hi-tech AV equipment and high speed wired and wireless Internet connection, four of which have the flexibility to open up to each other, allowing for individual combinations.
