The \"Speicher am Ziegelsee\" is a historic and listed granary built in 1939 which was lavishly rebuilt into a unique first-class-hotel. In 2006, it was the first hotel of the region to be certified as an environment oriented business company by VIABONO and since March 2010, it is the first climate neutral hotel in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. The hotel belongs to the best addresses in Schwerin and is, at the same time, an insider tip for many who appreciate an elegant atmosphere, individuality, sustainability and, first and foremost, a distinctive service. The privately-owned and managed hotel is situated right at the waterfront of lake Ziegelsee, quiet, and within 15 minutes walking distance from the historic centre. Furthermore, the hotel has its own pier, bar, billiard room and a total of 6 conference rooms with a surface area between 25 - 140 m² for up to 90 guests.
