Conference facts • 4 flexible meeting & conference rooms • Size from 17 m² to 182 m² • Available separately or combined for up to 200 persons • Spacious lobby/foyer Explore Stralsund The old town of Stralsund is surrounded by water, including the Strelasund, a branch of the Baltic Sea, and several ponds. It would be fair to speak of an “old town island”. Regular events, including the Wallensteintage medieval fair or the Rügen Bridge Run, plus a wide selection of cultural options and a thriving economy characterised by shipbuilding, metal construction and IT, ensure a lively urban landscape. The exact location The Hanseatic town of Stralsund is a centre of tourism on the Baltic Sea. Sometimes called a “gateway to the island of Rügen”, the city itself has so much to offer as well. Wonderfully renovated townhouses from seven centuries of Hanseatic times characterise the historic urban landscape. Together with the old town of Wismar, Stralsund is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights in the old town The UNESCO World Heritage Site impresses with its picturesque historic centre. The old town hall with its historic façade is one of the most important examples of profane architecture on the German Baltic Sea coast, illustrating the wealth and power of the city at the time of the Hanseatic League. The historic Brick Gothic buildings and monuments provide an almost perfectly preserved picture of the medieval floor plan. Examples of this architectural style can be found almost everywhere within the city walls. Must-sees include the St. Nicholas Church or the Historic House Museum at Mönchstraße 38. As you wander through the city, many more magnificent buildings are just waiting to be discovered.
